1 c. boiling water
1 c. Kelloggs All Bran
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. 40% Bran Flakes

Pour boiling water over All Bran

Cream Crisco and sugar

Mix all except bran flakes. Stir in Bran Flakes just until moistened

Bake 375º for 20 minutes. Batter keeps 6 weeks in covered bowl in refrigerator.
