Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 package Pepperidge farms cornbread dressing*
1 package Pepperidge farms herb dressing
1 - 2 lbs pan sausage - browned and crumbled
2 cups chopped celery
2 cups finely chopped onions
1 can mushroom soup
chicken broth
butter or margarine
Salt and Pepper to taste

I have also used homemade cornbread instead of the Pepperidge Farms and it's even better, in my opinion.

Directions:
Directions:
Brown and crumble pan sausage. Add celery and onion and cook until translucent. Mix the cornbread and herb dressings until well mixed. If using homemade cornbread, crumble well before adding. Add can of mushroom soup. Warm broth and butter or margarine. Add broth/butter mixture until dressing is desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Some people like more dry dressing, others like it to be moist.

Stuff in turkey while seasoning.

Put the remainder in a coated baking dish. I typically use butter or margarine to coat the baking dish, but cooking spray can be used as well.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is probably one of the most special recipes in this book. Oma and I started several years ago making the turkey and dressing for our annual Thanksgiving get together of Tante Bernice and her family as well as Uncle Kenneth. Once Dakota and Tayler got older they also learned how to make dressing with Oma. Many fond memories of Thanksgivings past. This year dad and Tante Bernice talked about our family Thanksgivings and it was a very sentimental event that I will cherish as long as I live. This year our family lost Uncle Kenneth (30 Dec 2017), Pam (12 Sep 2018), and Ray (29 Oct 2018). Thanksgiving gatherings were always very special to our family.
