Sugar Cookies Recipe

2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp soda
3 tsp baking powder
5 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt

1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1-2 tbsp milk
1/2 cup butter

Mix all ingredients put in refrigerator to chill. Roll dough in ball, then in flour and pat in palm of hands to shape. Bake at 350 until golden brown.

Mix together powdered sugar, vanilla, butter and milk until desired consistency.
