1/2 cup pumpkin
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp orange extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg

Frosting
3 tbsp butter
4 tsp mild
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine pumpkin and spice. Set aside sift dry ingredients and stir into the nuts and raisins. Cream shortening. Add sugar, orange extract and egg. Beat. Next add pumpkin mixture. Stir in dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 15 minutes. Frost while warm.

Frosting
Cook butter, milk and brown sugar until dissolved. Cool than add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread on warm cookies.
