1 TB butter
¼ c. onion, chopped
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup, undiluted
1 egg
½ c. seasoned bread crumbs
¼ tsp. salt
1½ lbs. Ground beef
⅓ c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. In a 10” skillet, over moderately high heat, melt butter and cook onion until lightly browned; cool slightly. In a large bowl, beat together 1/3 cup of the undiluted Cream of Mushroom Soup and the egg. Stir in bread crumbs and salt; let crumbs soften about 5 minutes. Add cooked onion and the ground beef. Mix well. Shape into 6½” thick patties. Arrange in a lightly greased 3-quart oblong glass baking dish. Bake 30 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Blend together remaining undiluted soup with the water and pour over patties. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer. Serves 6.
