2 cans pork and beans ½ onion, chopped ½ bell pepper, chopped ¼ c. brown sugar, more to taste salt and pepper to taste BBQ sauce to taste mustard to taste bacon slices to cover top
Preheat oven to 350º. In a small casserole dish, combine all ingredients except bacon. Mix well and taste to see if more of anything needs to be added. Place bacon slices on top. Bake in oven until bacon has nice color and is bubbly. Beans taste even better if cooked on a smoker at 250º for 2 hours!
