2 pounds ground beef
1 onion
1 apple
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1 can consommé (cannot substitute beef broth)
1 can water
Cooked rice

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dice onions and apples. Sauté in butter/oil about 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
2. Add mixture to ground beef, mix in bread crumbs, egg, 1/2 cup of water, salt and pepper.
3. Mix and shape into balls, roll in flour and brown in sauté pan on all sides.
4. Place meatballs in saucepan, add in consommé and one can of water. Cover and simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
5. Ladle sauce over rice and serve.
