1 ¼ c. brown sugar, packed
1 ¾ c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda (dissolve in milk)
½ c. butter, melted
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. mini semisweet chocolate chips or pecan pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all dry ingredients first. Then add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Use baking cups or grease muffin pans. Fill cups ½ to ¾ full and bake for 14 to 20 minutes.

*may refrigerate batter a week or so and bake as needed
*this is supposed to be a pecan muffin recipe but I’ve always subbed out the pecans for chocolate chips
