Garlic Cilantro Lime Sauce


Ingredients:

1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup cilantro leaves
2 to 3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
juice of 2 limes
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all sauce ingredients, except sour cream into a blender and blend until smooth, add sour cream and pulse until combined. Set aside.
 

Shrimp Tacos


Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 1/2 lbs. shrimp, medium size tails removed
olive oil and butter, for frying shrimp
2 tsp. fresh minced garlic
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
a pinch of cayenne pepper
2 to 3 cups shredded green cabbage
Flour Tortilla shells
1 to 2 avocados
cotija cheese and cilantro for topping

Heat a little olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring often until shrimp are cooked through, about 5 minutes. Toss some of the garlic cilantro sauce with the cabbage until cabbage is coated to your liking. It should resemble a coleslaw. Use left over sauce on top of the tacos. To serve tacos, smash a spoonful of avocado on the tortillas, top with a few pieces of shrimp, top with coleslaw, and finish with cotjia chees, and cilantro.
