Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons Crisco
7 tablespoons sugar
1 tsp salt
1 package yeast
½ cup warm water
1 cup milk
1 egg
3½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Crisco, sugar, and salt in a bowl and set aside. Add warm water (about 85º) to the yeast. Let sit 5 minutes. Warm 1 cup milk 2 minutes in microwave and pour into the Crisco mixture. Add 1 egg and beat, stir in yeast, dump in 2 cups flour and beat well. Add another 1½ cups flour and beat until it blisters. Cover with a damp cloth and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. Make sure bowl is big enough for dough to double in size.
Lightly grease cookie sheets. Roll out dough on floured surface ¼ to ½ inch thick. Cut into 2½" circles with cookie cutter. Put a dab of butter in each and fold over. Place on cookie sheet. Space so rolls have room to rise. When they are about double in size, bake at 400º for 10 minutes.
