2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoon molasses
1 cup sour milk ( add 1 T. lemon juice to 1 cup milk to make it sour)
2/3 oil
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon powdered cloves
½ teaspoon allspice
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter and flour a 9 x 13 pan (or two 8” round or square pans.)
Beat the eggs until thick and lemon colored.
Beat in gradually the sugar and molasses. Beat well.
Sift together the dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour milk.
Stir in lightly the oil.
Pour into the prepared pan(s). Bake approx.. 25 min. (when toothpick inserted is dry)
Frost with butter icing.
