5 c sifted self-rising flour
⅓ c sugar
1 cup crisco
1 tsp soda
2 packages of yeast dissolved in ¼ c lukewarm water
2 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and add yeast and buttermilk. Combine.
Roll out and cut as desired or make into Parker house rolls.
Let rise for 1 hour.
Bake on middle rack of oven at 450º.

Dough may be covered and refrigerated up to one week, and used as needed.
