c. buttermilk
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
8 sm. chicken drumsticks (about 1 lbs.)
c. all-purpose flour
c. cornmeal
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
tsp. dried thyme leaves
tsp. ground red pepper
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

In large bowl, mix buttermilk and hot pepper sauce.
Add chicken drumsticks; toss to coat well.
On waxed paper- mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, salt dried thyme, and ground red pepper.
Remove chicken drumsticks, one at a time, from bowl and roll in flour mixture until evenly coated.
In 12 inch skillet over hot heat in hot vegetable oil, cook drumsticks until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is fork tender. Place drumsticks on plate.
