1 cup butter – softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons milk or light cream
2 cups raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla and eggs. Mix well.

Add flour, oatmeal, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

Add milk. Mix well.

Add raisins. Mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes.


Tip:
Store in airtight container with a small piece of bread to keep cookies soft.

Endless amounts of variety available. Omit raisins and add Butterscotch Chips or Oatmeal Scotties.
Use dried Cranberries and White Chocolate Chips. Use Dark Chocolate Chips. Add nuts, etc.
