1 cake compressed yeast
½ c. lukewarm water
1 ½ t. salt
2 lightly beaten eggs
7 ½ c. flour
⅔ c. shortening
½-⅔ c. sugar
1 ½ c. hot potato water
1 c. cooled, cooked mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in water. Melt shortening. dissolve sugar in potato water, mix with shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add softened yeast, salt, eggs, potatoes. Stir in flour. Beat vigorously. Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth & pliant. Turn into greased bowl. Cover. Let rise until double in size. Knead again. Place in covered bowl in refrigerator. Keeps for days. When ready to use, shape into desired shape and let rise till double. Bake 25 min @ 400 degrees.
