1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened (or shortening)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF

Mix butter and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.

Gradually add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.

Add chips.

Grease baking sheet.

Drop by teaspoon about ½ inch apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
