1 lb. beef stew meat
8 c. water
2 T beef soup base, such as L.B. Jamison’s or other brand.
¼ c. barley (optional)
1 large, onion, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 bay leaf
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. crushed rosemary
1 tsp. dried thyme
½ tsp. ground pepper
1 lrg. can stewed tomatoes

3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
½ pkg. frozen corn
½ pkg. frozen green beans
¼ head cabbage ( optional)

Combine first 12 ingredients. Cook for 45 min to an hour, until beef is tender. Add vegetables and cook until tender,
