1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. butter
2 Vidalia Onions, chopped
salt & pepper
2 c. sour cream
½ c. mayonnaise
dash of hot sauce
1½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ c. finely chopped chives

Directions:
Directions:
Add olive oil and butter to medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add onions and saute until carmalized, about 20-25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and allow onions to cool. Blend the sour cream, mayonaise, hot sauce, garlic and chives in bowl. Add the onions and blend. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This dip came from the Neely's on the Food Network and goes with the hushpuppies. I don't always make the dip because the hushpuppies are great by themselves.
