1 pkg German Chocolate cake mix
1/2 c melted butter
2/3 c evaporated milk - Divided
14 oz package caramels
6 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake mix, butter, & 1/3 c of the evaporated milk. Press 1/2, of this mixture into sprayed 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.

Melt caramels and remaining 1/3 c of evaporated milk in microwave, stirring after 2 minutes, then cook 2 minutes longer.

Spread over cake layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips. Bake 20 minutes at 350. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
