1½ cup canned or fresh cherries
⅔ cup sugar
4 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp butter

Custard:
2 eggs
pinch salt
⅓ cup sugar
1½ cup scalded milk
1 tsp vanilla

1 unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cherries, sugar and flour then bring to a boil for 1 minutes. Add butter.
For custard - beat egg, add milk, sugar, vanilla and salt.
First, place cherry mixture into an unbaked pie shell then add custard. Bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes then decrease heat to 400 for 30-40 more minutes or until custard is set.
