Aunt Dana


1 cup sugar
2 cups plus 1 tablespoon flour
3/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Mix four items above; then add next four items to mixture:

1 1/3 cups coconut
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 18 ounce jar apricot jam

Preheat oven to 350
Mix all ingredients together.
Spoon part of mixture on bottom of 10 x 15" cookie sheet.
Spread apricot jam over mixture; then sprinkle rest of mixture over top of the jam.
Press lightly with hand or back of spoon.
Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
