2 qts chopped ripe tomatoes
2 qts chopped green tomatoes
5 medium onions chopped

6 red peppers
6 green peppers
3 C sugar
1 pint vinegar

2 tbsp pickling spice
12 Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together tomatoes and onions, cover with salt and let stand overnight

Drain tomatoes and add peppers, sugar and vinegar.

put spices and cloves in a cloth bag and add to tomato mixture.

Cook until clear - about 1/2 hour.

Not sure what cook until clear means unless it's translucent. You want it to be soft.
