1 tbsp rice vinegar
pinch salt
2-3 tsp ground chili paste

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water and sugar to a boil, boil for 1 minute until clear, off heat add vinegar and chili paste, will thicken as it cools.

Fresh ground chili paste is invaluable to Asian cooking. Very easy to find in the grocery store, always adds a layer of flavor and heat to any dish.
