4 eggs
1/4 cup butter
1/2 pound cooked ham cut into bites
3 leeks, thinly sliced
1/4 pound gruyere cheese
1 frozen pie shell - unbaked
2 cups heavy cream
1 pinch nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, cream, and spices together and hold
Sautee leeks in butter until tender. Add ham, toss and remove from heat and let cool for 5 min.
Spread the cheese onto the bottom of the piecrust and put ham and leek mixture on top of the cheese.
Pour egg cream mixture slowly and evenly on top of this
Bake at 350º for about 40 minutes or until custard is set, brown on top and not jiggly
Let stand 10 minutes before serving

Ashley asked me for this recipe 5 years ago so it's about time I got it to her. She didn't cook much at that time but has really come a long ways in the cooking department!
