8 tbsp butter (one cube)
½ cup flour
4 tbsp green onions, sliced
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup chopped cooked ham or chicken
2 cups cooked wild rice
⅓ cup grated carrots
1 cup half and half
salt and white pepper
3 tbsp chopped pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, saute onions in butter. Blend in flour and brown, gradually add broth. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Stir in ham, wild rice carrots, spices and pecans, if using. Simmer 5 minutes, blend in half and half and heat through, garnish with parsley.
