2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups berries - fresh or frozen - I use raspberries or blueberries
2 or 3 Tablespoons raw or turbinado sugar for sprinkling on top

Preheat oven to 375
Whisk all dry ingredients into a bowl
In your electric mixer bowl combine butter and sugar and beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla. Mixture will look grainy. Now add dry ingredients all at once and stir until blended in.
Add the milk and mix again.
Gently fold in berries.

Put muffins in pan (makes 12 or 14) lined with wrappers. Sprinkle the raw sugar on top

Bake for 30 minutes.
