2 cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups butter ( I use ¾ cup butter and ¾ cup Crisco)
3 eggs
½ cup finely crushed walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt (optional)
4 ¼ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in order. Split into three and make each into a roll in waxed paper. Put in fridge overnight. The next day, slice thinly and place on baking sheet. 
Bake at 350º F. for 8 ­to 10 minutes until golden brown
