8 cups chicken broth (homemade if you have it)
2-3 cup chopped chicken
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
16 oz frozen egg noodles
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
salt and ground pepper to taste

Bring broth to boil, add in rest of ingredients except parsley and reduce temperature to medium. Cook noodles per package directions (20-25 minutes). Stir in parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve over mashed potatoes with drop biscuits.
