3 cups flour
tsp. cream of tartar
tsp. salt
1 egg
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
cup shortening
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening. Beat the egg and milk together then mix into the dry ingredients. Knead for a few minutes then roll out on a floured surface about " thick. Cut in circles. Bake for 12 min.
