4 cup all-purpose flour
1-3/4 cup shortening
3 Tbsp white sugar
2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, blend together all-purpose flour, shortening, sugar, and salt with a pastry cutter until crumbly. In a small bowl, mix egg with water and stir into flour mixture. Chill dough in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Note: Recipe yields 3 single pie crusts.
