½ c sliced almonds
2 Tbsp sugar
3 bunches romaine, chopped
2 green onions, diced
1 cup celery, sliced
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
crumbled cooked bacon, optional

DRESSING:
½ cup vegetable oil
4 Tbsp red wine vinegar
4 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix romaine, green onions and celery, chill. In small pan over medium heat cook almonds and sugar, stirring constantly until browned nicely, not burned. Just before serving, add oranges, almonds and bacon, if using. Toss with dressing.
