1 medium head red cabbage, shredded
3 tart cooking apples, sliced
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 c vinegar
3 Tbs butter
2 Tb brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon or 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, cook cabbage,apples, salt,and pepper in a small amount of boiling water over medium-low heat, covered for 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender.
Drain; return to saucepan. Add vinegar, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Heat through. Stir to combine.
