Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 standard tea bag
1/2 cup raisins/craisins

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 beaten egg
1 pkg active dry yeast
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp softened butter

2 tbsp melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over raisins/craisins and tea, let cool for 1 hour.

Using a bread machine on the dough setting, put flours, egg, yeast, sugar, and butter in bread machine. Pour the tea water and raisins over the rest of the ingredients and turn bread machine on to process dough. Remove dough from bread machine after cycle has finished and put in a greased 9" round cake pan. Put in warm place, covered with towel and let rise until doubled - 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Uncover loaf and bake in center of oven for 35-40 minutes until crust is brown and loaf sounds hollow. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter and place on rack to cool. Slice thick and serve with butter or jam.

note: you can do this without the bread machine, you just need to knead the dough for 10-15 minutes, and the raisins might stay more intact, but it'll be just as good.

I made this for Dara's social studies class to demonstrate our Welsh heritage (because really, who likes German food?) Great for a breakfast bread, or make a sandwich with it.
