1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening, pat of butter and 1 egg white
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
1 cup chocolate chips
Few raisins
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda. Ad shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla. Beat until smooth about 2 minutes. Fold in rolled oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop from a teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and bake at 375º 12-15 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet at once.
