3 cans Red kidney beans
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 Onion, chopped
1 rib celery, chopped
2 T parsley
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 C water
1 lb. smokey hollow sausage (cut up)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beans with bouillon cubes. (Can use bacon drippings, ham, etc.) Combine all above ingredients except sausage. Cook for 30 - 45 minutes or until onion and celery are soft. If beans become too dry, add heated water. Add sausage and continue to cook until thickened. Add 2 T of sugar. Serve over rice.

Kathy - I put all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low all day. Then serve over rice.
