Ingredients:  
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tblsp oil
2 lb cans tomatoes (4 cups)
1 (12 oz) can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 Tblsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed oregano
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion and garlic until tender in hot oil. Stir in other ingredients, Simmer at least 30 minutes (it is better if you simmer it much longer). Remove bay leaf and continue cooking depending on the heat you have it at.
