1 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs - beaten
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking soda
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Form into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press with the back of a fork to make a crisscross pattern. Bake at 375 F for 10 minutes.
