Ingredients:  
Mix together and put aside: 3 tbsp brown sugar(packed) and 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

⅓ cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs beaten
2 cups white flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup sour milk**
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda



** to make sour milk ( 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp white vinegar)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening,add sugar gradually. Creaming well after each addition. Add beaten eggs. Blend.
Sift flour,salt and baking powder together.Add vanilla and baking soda to milk. Add flour mixture alternating with milk mixture to the shortening/sugar mix in batches until it is well blended. In a greased loaf pan,place ⅓ of the batter,top with ⅓ of the cinnamon sugar mixture.Alternate layers,ending with the cinnamon/sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour until done.If top seems to brown to quickly,lightly cover top with aluminum foil.
