Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 lb macaroni
2 lb ground beef
2 large onions, diced
1/2 to 1 large bell pepper (optional)
two 14.5 oz cans whole tomatoes (mashed, undrained) (or home canned)
tomato juice as needed
garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
mushrooms, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni to al-dente. While macaroni is cooking, brown ground beef and onion, and optional bell pepper. Drain.

Drain macaroni and add ground beef mixture. Add tomatoes, tomato juice, and seasoning. Let simmer on low for a few minutes.

I like to add a tiny bit of bacon fat for seasoning also. Can also add chili powder or hot sauce.

NOTE: When warming up leftovers, you will probably need to add more tomato juice. It's always better the second day!

If you want a thicker goulash, add tomato sauce or tomato paste.
