Easy Copycat Honeybaked Ham Recipe

Ingredients: 8 lb bone-in half ham 2 T butter, melted 3 T honey 1 1/2 C sugar 1/2 tsp seasoned salt 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp paprika Pinch of allspice

Directions:Preheat oven to 275º. Adjust rack to lower third position. Line roasting pan with foil. Position ham flat side down in the center of the pan. Mix rest of ingredients and pat half over the ham. Cover lightly with foil. Bake 12-15 minutes per pound. When ham is done cook the rest of the sugar mixture in a small pan with 3 T liquids; water, meat juice or even bourbon. Bring to a boil for a minute. Brush or pour over ham. Place under broiler to carmelize. I bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Let ham rest 5-10 minutes then enjoy. |
