Elizabeth Wilson

21 digestive biscuits
1/2 c butter
2 T corn syrup
2 T hot chocolate powder (or cocoa and sugar)
1 c raisins
1 pkg chocolate chips

Put the biscuits in a ziplock bag and rolling pin them until they are pretty finely ground...some pea sized chunks, nothing bigger.
Melt butter and syrup together on low heat - don't let it get too hot
Pour it in with the biscuits.
Add raisins too.
Mash it around in the bag with your hands until well mixed.
Press into a smaller than usual baking tin. Or double it and go for the 9x13.
Pack it down well. I use a spatula and really press it down. It has to bind together by force.
Melt chocolate chips and spread them on top.
Cut. Works better if the chocolate isn't too hard yet.
Cool in fridge.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Jim would seriously eat a pan of these in a go, on his own. Elizabeth makes them every year for his birthday.
