36 large tomatoes
12 large onions
3 red hot peppers
4 cups chopped celery
6 tbsp mixed pickling spice
3 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 cups of vinegar
4 cups of white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Peel core tomatoes and drain
Put onions, celery and hot peppers through food chopper
Combine all of the above with
vinegar, salt, pickling spice in tied cloth bag.
Boil then simmer, stir occasionally until thick (2-3 hours)
Add sugar cook 30 min. longer
Remove spice bag and pack in small sterilized jars.
Seal immediately
