1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 16-ounce cans tomato sauce
2 6-ounce cans tomato paste
1-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

2 1-pound packages spaghetti

Place ground beef, onion and garlic in medium saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 10 minutes

Add the tomatoes with juice, tomato paste, 1 cup water, and the oregano, salt and pepper

Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
Add the spaghetti and cook about 8 minutes
Drain well

Spoon the sauce over the spaghetti and serve
