1 lb 90% ground turkey
3/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4 cup diced onion
3 cloves minced garlic
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 cups water
4 torn basil leaves, plus more for garnish
8 oz wheat spaghetti or zoodles
grated Parmesan cheese

Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over high heat
When hot add the turkey and salt and cook, breaking it up
Add the onions, and garlic and cook until softened, 3 to 4 minutes
Add the crushed tomatoes, black pepper, water and basil and stir (if using spaghetti - add it - making sure liquid covers everything without stirring
Cover and cook medium-low heat until the water is absorbed and the pasta (if using) is cooked, about 17 minutes
Serve topped with grated cheese if desired

I make it with zoodles and keep them raw and put the sauce on top and it's delicious
