Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pkt macaroni pasta
Sauce
3 tbsp plain flour
100 grams butter
1/2 litre milk
250 grams strong cheddar cheese (you can use ready grated cheese)
Salt and pepper
Slice of bread - stale if possible

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the pasta as per directions on the packet. Do not over cook as it will cook more in the casserole with the sauce

Pre-heat the oven to 180 deg C

Put the butter in a heavy or non stick pan on medium heat
Add the flour and mix well. Let it dry out a bit for a minute or two
As the milk, a little at at time. Mix it in well before adding more like quid
The end mixture needs to be quite liquid so add water if it’s still pasty
Add 2/3rds of grated cheese and sit in
Add salt and pepper to taste

Put the cooked macaroni into an ovenproof casserole
Pour over the sauce
Crumble the bread over the top
Sprinkle over the remaining grated cheese

Put the casserole into the oven for 20 minutes or until cheese on top is melted
