1/2 c. butter softened
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
2 T. milk
1 t. Vanilla extract
1 c. flour
1/3 c. baking cocoa
1/4 salt
1 c. finely chopped walnuts.

Filling:
1/2 c. powder sugar
1 T. butter softened
2 T. milk
1/4 t. vanilla
26 milk chocolate kisses

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk, milk and vanilla Combine flour, cocoa, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
In a small bowl, whisk egg white until foamy. shape dough into 1-in. balls; dip into egg white, then roll into nuts. place 2-in. apart on a greased baking sheets. Using a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 mins. or until center is set.
For filling, combine the powder sugar, butter, milk and vanilla in a small bowl; stir until smooth . Spoon 1/4 t. into each warm cookie; gently press a chocolate kiss in the center. Carefully remove from pans to wire racks to cool

I don't like to use walnuts. I will omit this and use chopped mini m&ms or sprinkles.
