Snickerdoodles, Large Batch Recipe

2 cups Shortening
3 cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1 tsps Vanilla Extract
5 cups Flour
2 tsps Baking Soda
4 tsps Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Salt

for coating
6 Tblsps Sugar
6 tsps Ground Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400

In a large mixing bowl cream Shortening, 3 cups Sugar, Eggs and Vanilla.
Sift together (or whisk together) Flour, Baking Soda, Cream of Tartar and Salt.
Stir together Shortening mixture and dry ingredients, adding a few cups of the dry in at a time. Combine well.

for coating: In a small bowl mix together Cinnamon and 6 Tblsps of Sugar.

Roll dough into balls approximately 1", roll balls in Cinnamon Sugar mixture.

Bake on ungreased baking sheets for 8-10 minutes
