1 c. milk
Vanilla
3 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cardamom
1½ c. flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Pour milk and vanilla into bowl. Whisk to combine. Add sugar, salt, cardamom (optional) and flour. Add eggs alternating with milk. Whisk until smooth and thick. Let stand for at least 30 min.
Heat oil to 375º. Dip iron into oil until hot. Dip into batter. Do not let batter coat the top of the iron. Fry until lightly brown. Remove from oil and remove rosette using a knife or fork if necessary. Drain on paper towel. Dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
