4 slices bacon, finely chopped
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
4 c. diced potatoes ( about 4 medium), pared and diced
2 pkgs.(10 oz. size) frozen corn, thawed
1 c. heavy cream
1 tsp. sugar
¼ c. butter
2½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
2 c. whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, saute bacon over moderate heat until golden.
Add onions, potatoes and 1 c. water.
Cover, bring to boil and simmer about 10 min. Potatoes should be tender, but not mushy.
Remove cover and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine corn, cream, sugar and butter. Simmer, covered for 10 min.
Add to potato mixture with remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until heated through. Do not boil.
