1 c. butter, softened
⅔ brown sugar
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar, until smooth.
Gradually add flour, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Knead lightly.
Shape dough into a ball. Roll out to ¼ inch thickness.
Using a floured glass or cookie cutters, cut into desired shapes and place onto prepared sheets.
Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes or golden brown.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.

Tip: Dip the ends of the plain shortbread cookins into melted chocolate, Let excess drip into soucepan. Place dipped shortbread onto cookie sheet until chocolate hardens.
